penultimate slice, #sol17 30/31

…not time yet for last slice wordplay (save the last slice for me, etc) and "penultimate slice" doesn't have quite the same ring. I'm moving into what next mode. Re-animating too many blogs + companion social media is a dead cert to crash before the home stretch. If I secretly want to shoot myself in the foot, that would be the way to go...

#SoL15 musings on moving, #clmooc, #adjunct blogging

…#RWTblog, #EdBlogNet…but still ignoring the other. Tumbling and social media writing don't count here.

Add procrastination. Tagged for both #sol15 and #adjunct. Check. Evasive multitasking by hashtag. Tagged for #clmooc, hold the apps. Check. There is a limit to how many/much I can wrap my mind around or juggle at one time -- and am already dropping too many as it is.

As usual, I have no idea where this will take me but now have a habit of starting with an image. Serendipity rules more often than not: what catches -- and pleases my eye. I saved slice images on the last hard drive: TWT logos, fruit, pizza, bread, etc. Dexter is the most popular result googling Slice of Life images. I haven't been in that kind of mood. Not yet.

This morning I had a topic in mind, no doubt about moving, book and other triage, but forgot.

#SoL15 Day 31: moving on from the last slice

…my last post, March 4, on precarious faculty signaled a return to a blogging routine that dipped during the buildup to and during National Adjunct Walkout Day (and week and all the other names it went by) that did not happen. This post is about what happened between then and now.

#SoL15 Day 22: blogging / curating

Social media and mobile plays a large role in Millennial news consumption…today I had a go at a morning post (aka anything to put off posting to the precarious faculty blog). Unable to let go of multi-tasking, I was also commenting on TWT blogs now and writing 750 Words (my other deadline for the day).

PS: Posted at midnight EST -- so much an early start

Taking time off from posting to the precarious faculty blog does not mean time off the Precarious Faculty Network, which includes related blogs, social media and feeds, mine and others.
