a morning #sol18 ramble:#IWD2018 & other digital flânerie

Another open ended post without a plan, but the difference is starting it in the morning instead of at the last minute. I can call it a morning ramble and run with another favorite metaphor ~ flânerie. Probably the overarching metaphor in my dissertation, I even have a blog named the contrary flâneuse
Virtual, visual, verbal flânerie through scenic, human, and cultural byways ~ small town space, open space, wild space, city space, cyberspace, un-space. Baudelaire's Paris it's not; 'la chambre à deux" perhaps, but still its own kind of microcosm.
International Women's Day was a natural destination, with much to see along the way.

On a whim, I added a Shindig online presentation on women's heath and aging that seemed perfect for today. Ironically, the choice lead to my being patronized by a platform rep (marketing, not tech) for -- not sure which, pick one -- being an older woman, thereby automatically presumed tech incompetent; being too rural and/or too poor to have good broadband; appearing to lack appropriate status -- any combination thereof or all. In short, someone who did not belong there. If not for the timing, I would have been highly annoyed -- which I was initially. Then bemusement kicked in. Chat log saved, a cautionary tale to unpack later lies therein, but now back to #IWD2018.

That was this morning. Now it's into the night. I kept wandering, digital and real walking, lost track of time and found myself, once again, editing, adding images, links, video, etc....albeit not as late as my latest.
